About Me

My name is Dale Barr III, I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), as well as a Certified Venice Nutrition Coach, CrossFit Level I & CrossFit Endurance Coach, and USAW Sports Performance coach with 10+ years and thousands of hours of training experience.

I work with clients of all ages and from all walks of life. Whoever I’m training is guaranteed to get stronger, fitter and healthier. I use the most effective training methods of weightlifting, bodyweight movements and high-intensity cardio and implement it using a wide variety of tools and drills. I want to help build better bodies and better human beings, not just for the next 4-6 weeks, but I want you to be strong and fit for the rest of your life. My goal is for you to fight off father time for as long as possible and enjoy everything life has to offer without being slowed by issues that come with age and sedentary life. Get out there and move, and move well.

“We must all either wear out or rust out, every one of us. My choice is to wear out.”
–Theodore Roosevelt

I love training each type of client regardless of your goals and I feel fortunate that you’ve allowed me to be a part of achieving them.

When I’m away from the gym I enjoy the outdoors, spending time with my wife, our 2 boys, and our dog. I’ve played competitive team sports my whole life, I’ve done marathons and 70.3 Ironmans. In 2016 I had a goal of deadlifting 400lbs before my 40th bday and hit 445lbs (over 2.5x bodyweight)! Spring 2017 I finished the CrossFit Open ranked 177 in the world. Finishing in the top 200 qualified me for the CrossFit Online Regional Qualifier for the 40-44 age group. The top 20 from the Qualifier advance to the CrossFit Games.
