Important Gym Updates

D B General, home

Hey All,

If you haven’t seen the email from Louise at Dauntless I’ve copied it below. With the ongoing Covid-19 situation they have decided to close the gym for now. I will be sending out “at-home” workouts for this week for those interested. These will require minimal equipment and I can also add one for those with no equipment just let me know.

I’m still discussing with Louise but I may be able to do some 1:1 or very small (1-3 people) sessions for our low risk clients. Please contact me directly if you’re interested in that and we can try to get your workouts in. Thanks all – hope you’re well!

Email from Dauntless to follow –

Hello everyone.

We’ve been closely watching the rapidly expanding coronavirus outbreak and this morning we made the decision to close Dauntless for the coming week. (We will continue to update and respond on a regular basis.)

This decision came after much thoughtful discussion and ultimately reflects our desire to protect the health and well-being of our clients and the greater community as a whole.

IMPORTANT: any one of us who has yet to display any symptoms could be a carrier of the coronavirus. You need not be symptomatic to be contagious. This not only makes it essential that you continue with the recommended personal hygiene practices, but also that you limit your social interaction. You simply don’t know where everyone else around you has been, who they’ve been in contact with, and how well all those people are following precautions.

The virus doesn’t spread itself. People spread the virus.

We are in the midst of rapidly expanding public health crisis that many experts believe could/will overwhelm our healthcare system. Our actions today reflect consideration not only of the risk to ourselves (which for many of us, remains quite low), but to our entire community and our desire to be on the right side of this challenge.

My mother always told me; “if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.” Once again, Mom is right.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and please don’t hesitate to contact us with your questions or concerns.

Take care of yourself, and those around you.
